Christmas 2011

What a day. The kids were spoilt rotten by family from Christmas eve till Christmas day.

We started Christmas on Christmas eve with Hubby's family visiting.

Waffles for Brunch with tones of fresh blue berries and strawberries YUM

Followed by present opening

A water fight with plastic squirt fish

Daddy got an inflatable shark

Long funny story.....but he got away that night. OOPS
You might be able to see the little speck in the air that is Mr Shark making a get away while he could.

Later that afternoon / evening our lovely neighbours popped over to say Merry Christmas with the biggest bunch of lillies I have ever seen (and boy they were heavy) and a present  for each of the kids. It was a lovely surprise. We gave them a little gingerbread house and the Dog gave them some replacement tennis balls as she keeps running off with them when they come over our fence. It has become a bit of a game. So to say merry Christmas and Sorry we dropped a little surprise at their door earlier in the week. They couldn't resist but to say Thank you as they were blown away.

Family all arrived and set up camp in the living room, play room and Where ever they could find a spot to sleep :) My parents being the smart ones booked a Hotel room down the road for the night.

We then had fish n chips for dinner and Santa's little helpers got to work on putting up the Christmas present while the kids watched a Christmas Movie.
(All the men could not resist to help)

We then headed off to the Christmas Lights at temple view. It was an amazing display of lights again and Miss3 was so excited to be going with the big people while Mr2 stayed home with Oma and slept.

Christmas Morning started with a lovely sleep-in. Thanks kids :)
We then had Christmas stockings in mum and dad's bed followed by Christmas breakfast of poffertjes fresh fruit, custard, yoghurt and yummy fresh juices. What a way to start the morning.

While I was getting Breakfast ready Miss3 comes running in.....Mummy mummy you didn't know that Santa got me a trampoline in the garden. I have a trampoline........Lol this was meant to be kept a surprise till after breakfast. But she had a good play on it before and that helped pass the time away.

Breakfast was followed by LOTS of present opening. the kids were so spoilt this year. While the kids convinced various family member’s to go jump with them lunch was being made. We enjoyed a lovely Christmas BBQ out in the sun for lunch. The family then had to leave for Auckland so we were then able to sit back relax and enjoy a family day. We relaxed in the pool, played on the trampoline and ended the day with a Christmas Movie before bed. What a perfect day.
