About Me

I am a mum of two and a lovely Labrador dog who thinks she is one of the kids.

I am currently a SAHM (stay at home mum) who I have to admit does encounter the challenges of being at home with kids, but I love every minute of it, even on the bad days.
In my previous life before having kids I trained to be a teacher and a social worker. After graduating I became a social worker as I loved helping families in need and in particular the children.

Currently to keep my brain going I facilitate parenting tool box courses, which I just love. One session in particular from the course is what inspired me to start this blog. The session talks about how it is important to start a memory bank of family traditions, creating memories with your kids and having fun - and this is what my goal is to do with my kids so that they have a childhood full of fun memories they can look back on.

So for now before my kids have all grown up and headed off to school i am cherishing every minute of being at home with the kids and helping create a childhood they will hopefully remember as being fun, loving and memorable.

I am also the founder of Snuggle-Bug Wraps (www.snuggle-bug.co.nz). When my second child was born I wanted the flexibility to continue every day activities and looking after a toddler while keeping baby close. So I started manufacturing a 100% NZ made wrap that was affordable for all parents and caregivers.
